Qigong for all seasons

What I love about Qigong and Taiji is their versatility. These internal energy practices can be performed alone or in a group, indoors or out and at anytime of the day or year.
During the snowy spell last November a student sent me this picture of her set up for attending my Friday Moving Qi-gong class. That snowy morning there were several students with me in Studio 2 at Breathe Waterloo. This Qigong class is a great way to start or qi-fuel the day. After the class I go upstairs to my clinic to treat acupuncture patients with a wonderful calm alertness.

What is Qigong?
Qi (pronounced chee) is the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things. Gong (pronounced gung) means exercise, accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qigong means cultivating energy; it is a system practiced to maintain health, promote healing and increase vitality.

By involving the meridian system used in Acupuncture with yi (mind intent) and combining breathing techniques with physical movement, Qigong creates an awareness beyond the limits of western exercise programs.

I  teach Qigong in my Friday class which you can also attend online.
